I’m Candace.   I’m 29 years old.  I have an awesome husband named Brandon and we have three beautiful children (age 3, 2, 1…more on that later 😉 ).  I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer.  I’m a little overwhelmed right now, but trusting that the One who made me will supply everything I need.

Please join with me through this journey of faith and watch how God answers our prayers!!

  1. Candace, I can’t imagine the battle you are about to face. The Stebbins family will be praying for you constantly throughout this journey and here to help however we can. Play dates for the kids at my house, help with meals, whatever it is. I am already so encouraged by your strength and recognition of God’s sovereignty.

    Hey Candace,

It has been quite a while since I’ve talked to you, but I wanted to let you know I am praying for you and will continue to pray for you throughout this journey you are on. I just started reading your blog and your words are an inspiration to all who will read them.

Hi Candace, this is Kandace 🙂 I saw the link to your blog on another friends facebook page. I read through it all today and just wanted to encourage you. I am 36 and was diagnosed with breast cancer last August. Had chemo, surgery and then radiation. One year later, life is back to ‘normal’! Not sure where you are, but saw that you are going to Duke. I am in Sanford and had all my treatments at Duke. They were awesome there! I saw that you may be starting chemo this week. I know everyone has their own experience, but in mine, chemo was not at all what I imagined it to be. I felt horrible, but was never sick, thank God. What my fear and anxiety did to me was way worse than the chemo…. And even a year later, it is like a bad dream. In the midst, It felt like I would never get through it, but God got me through… that was the only way. I am keeping you in my prayers, and if there is anything I can do, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Sounds like you have a great support system, that really helps. God bless you and good luck!

I am in Sanford also! Would love to chat – that sounds like what my plan will be also: chemo, surgery then radiation. Thanks for sharing with me.

    Hey Candace!
I recently heard of your journey with breast cancer. A wonderful freind then shared your blog with me and I got to see first-hand of your beautiful children and your husband, who has a very warm smile. You look beautiful, Candace with your shiny head! I am lifting you and your family up, Candace, and asking God to sustain you during these days. There are many courageous women that have gone through the breast cancer battle before you and all have had distinctly different journeys but all have won the fight! May He, Yahweh Rophe, show His power in your life so all may see and give glory to Him. Stay strong, Candace!
    With much love, Denise Godley
